The MTV Video Music Awards are rocking and rolling back into primetime television for their 30th year.
The VMAs revealed the official list of nominees today, and fans will be unsurprised at the front runners for the biggest categories. Taylor Swift leads as the frontrunner of the competition with 10 nominations, coming on the heels of her international Eras tour.
Swift has already broken records at the award show, holding a record-breaking three year streak for Video of the Year, having won the category a total of five times.
Right behind Swift with nine impressive nominations is Post Malone, who has ten Billboard music awards, three American music awards, one MTV VMA, and has racked up nine Grammy nominations.
Among other returning top contenders are fan-favorites Ariana Grande, Eminem, Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA and many other popular names that have graced the biggest stages in the world over the past year.
This year boasts a large number of first time nominees as well, including Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, Jelly Roll, Morgan Wallen, Sexyy Red and Tyla. Many of these artists have become household names over the last 12 months and have performed at internationally acclaimed music festivals. Nominations for Roan, Tyla, Red, Boone, Victoria Monét and Teddy Swims come on the heels of their performances at Lollapalooza last week, a massive four-day-long annual music festival in Chicago.
The VMAs will air live on MTV from UBS Arena on Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Keep reading for the full list of nominees.
